Well I painted until gone midnight last night as I could not go to bed with this painting unfinished and who would have thought it would end like this? Good God! What is going on in my head? It's bloody exciting I can tell you. I so love starting a painting and having no idea how it will end. Talk about a surprise. I just keep working the painting until I feel it's done. I never have any idea how it will look. It's such an great way to work, unlike the circles where the outcome was inevitable. I love that I am painting with no care about the work selling. It really frees you up to just let the brush move where it wants to. Liberating. I can't believe how tame my last body of work seems to this new work. It just shows you having a gap and getting on with life is great for creativity. Life leaves it's mark upon you and that in turn leaves it's mark upon your work. Nice one!
