I have been working as a professional artist since 2001, exhibiting and selling my work nationally and internationally. During this period I have owned two art galleries and ran my own not-for-profit arts organisation called Canvas, which represented 100 artists and raised over £40,000 for various charities.
As for my own work, my paintings, like all other aspects of my life, are driven by my intuition. I am inspired by what I feel on the inside, and my connection to my Higher Self, rather than what I see externally.
I often meditate before painting, to get into a space where my ego is out of the way and I can let what comes to me, flow through me and onto the canvas or paper. Because of this, my work is always evolving and changing.
Below is a selection of galleries showing some examples of my paintings from the last couple of decades. You will notice regardless of the subject matter, I am always experimenting with vibrant colour, confident mark-making and brushwork.

THE GALLERY CONTAINS SOME OF MY MOST RECENT PAINTINGS PRIOR TO MOVING MY STUDIO INTO SUSSEX PRAIRIE GARDENS. ALL WERE PAINTED IN 2021 USING ACRYLIC INK.
THESE PAINTINGS SPAN THE LAST 10 YEARS WITH SOME FINISHED AS RECENTLY AS THREE MONTHS AGO. TWO WERE CREATED WITH PIANIST JOE SAMUAL. YOU CAN FIND VIDEOS OF OUR
ART & MUSIC COLLABORATION BELOW
IN 2015 I CREATED A SERIES OF OVER 70 HEADS IN JUST A COUPLE OF MONTHS. THESE WERE A VERY ENJOYABLE EXPLORATION OF SOME OF THE PAINFUL THINGS I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN MY LIFE. ALTHOUGH THE PAINTINGS MAY MAKE YOU THINK I WAS IN THE DEPTH OF DESPAIR WHILST CREATING THEM, THEY WERE IN FACT THE SERIES OF PAINTINGS I HAD THE MOST FUN AND JOY PAINTING. I FOUND IT EXCITING TO USE PAINT AND COLOUR AS A WAY OF EXPRESSING DIFFICULT EMOTIONS.
THIS IS SOMETHING I LOVE TO TEACH IN MY WORKSHOPS. YOU CAN FIND A SHORT VIDEO OF ALL THE HEADS VIA THIS LINK
